Since I didn’t really do much yesterday, I decided I would
be active today and catch up on ALL the reading. In the morning, played piano
and worked out with Jane. I had roughly eight hours before I would go out with CORE
members to watch a documentary on Chinese adoptees as research for the Culture
Show. Half an hour was eaten up by Master Chef, and the other half of that hour
passed when someone on the 4th floor set off the fire alarm by
burning something in their microwave. Another hour was spent at a Cal’s Generation
info meeting.
Cal’s Generation is an unofficial group connected to
Kpopular. They apparently learn one K-Pop medley per semester, and since the
group is open to anyone regardless of experience, the practices are very long,
so I’m not sure if I want to do it yet.
Basically, I got much less done than I wished. Oh, and the
documentary actually plays next weekend, so we all went
to eat dinner at an Indian place instead. It was the first time I tried Indian
food other than curry and I loved it! So the night wasn’t a total waste ;) My seniors really treat me well.
There’s still a lot more that I want to do tonight, but I’m too tired to concentrate. It’s not that I NEED to do the reading in time for class, but it’s important to know the information well by midterms and the final. I want to actually READ through the textbooks a few times
instead of skimming/skipping them like I did in high school because the only way I’ll be able to remember things is through repetition. I think I’m
getting better at retaining information, even if I do have to go a little
slower. For now, though, I think I’m going to head off to bed early.
Good night! I love you!
XOXO
Gabby
