Days 53-59: I Hope This Doesn't Turn Into a Weekly Thing

This probably WON’T be a weekly thing (because I can barely remember anything that happens yesterday, let alone a week ago) but posts might end up being shorter because I’m a lazy busy girl!

Day 53: At Least I’m Doing Okay in English

I went to Office Hours for the first time, and it was pretty good. We’re supposed to be “skimming” a massive book called Into the Silence and it’s been extremely difficult for me to stay on track. Talking to my professor helped me relax a bit. Also, we got our first papers back, and I got an A- :) Hooray!

Day 54: ???

Today was an average day. So average that I don’t remember much of what I did. (Or maybe I got so smashed I don't remember anything. jk I don’t drink, mom.)

Day 55: Preparation

Went to class and packed everything for the weekend! Packing always makes me nervous because I ALWAYS forget SOMETHING. I stayed up super late for no apparent reason. I think it was excitement.

Day 56: Off to Davis

Rode the bus to UC Davis and met up with Alyssa. It was nice to have someone who knew the area with me this time around XD
I met Alyssa’s roommates who were super cool. I got to play video games after SUCH a long time and it felt goooood. Also, the food at Davis puts Berkeley to shame.

Day 57: KCon

From 2AM to about 10AM, we sat in the car. I fell asleep after twenty minutes, and before I knew it, we were in Irvine!

Now, I didn’t know what to expect from KCon—after all, it was the first of its kind in America, and the first of anything usually ends up tanking. In fact, the actually convention part of the event DID tank. It was way too hot, there wasn’t enough of anything to accommodate every attendee, and everything was generally disorganized and poorly thought-out in my opinion. (Poor Vinna couldn’t get her stuff signed because of some stupid “voucher” system for the autograph sessions that wasn’t announced until the day of the convention.)

BUT the concert was absolutely amazing. The stage was fantastic and even though we didn’t have the BEST seats, I had such a good time with Alyssa and Vinna jamming to the music and had my fill of eye candy. I was glad I got to see Alyssa and Vinna again. Today really brought my mood up; it was definitely something I needed.

Day 58: On the Road Again

Spent most of the day in the car again. We stopped by a market on the way back and saw a cutie at a boba shop.

Day 59: Feelings

Lots of class and meetings. This week’s VSA meeting was half an hour longer than normal meetings, but for a purpose. I think everyone’s been a little on-edge and stressed out lately, so we started talking about our feelings (it wasn’t as lame as it sounds.) I spoke up much more than I usually do, and listening to everyone really moved me.

I learned a little more about everyone today.

XOXO Gabby
