Told the boy I liked that I liked him to his face, and that didn’t turn out as well as I would’ve liked (but it’s not like I didn’t expect it.) I didn’t go into it expecting results. Rather, I went into it so he would be easier to let go. You know I can’t hide how I feel very well for long, and in putting it out there, I can finally move on with more important things.
Of course, rejection is not easy to take, even if it’s done nicely.
So, I spent the entire day avoiding work. Kayla came back (Jane comes back on Tuesday.) On an intended visit to the bathroom, I randomly saw our floormate, Steve, in the hallway and he asked if I wanted to go to Emeryville. Kayla and I ended up going with him to Emeryville and got some Secret Santa shopping done, so it wasn’t TOTALLY unproductive (academically, yes, but that’s beside the point.) Then Kayla and I took a stroll in the dark, and that was some good roommate bonding time.
I did manage to read a bit before falling asleep for about an hour. After that, I was tired, not sleepy. I hate that feeling.
XOXO
Gabby
